It's difficult for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have already been conquered.

This is the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to an additional six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, targeted by the record chasers, are what's still available for a side that has won it all.

It needed as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to hold a record if not provided the possibility.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the championship match and was awarded tournament MVP. She made sure her country would not come up short.

If this latest epic knock exceeded that prior achievement is debatable.

Many contend the case for final game tension. Others can counter with the test that comes when facing a record target and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's clear is this hundred was much more difficult to predict.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she topped the run-scoring charts, but this innings followed six innings in India over the past few weeks in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've observed me in training, it's been a challenging time because I feel like I've had no rhythm at all," stated Healy.

"But once you enter the playing area, your fighting spirit activate and you just lock into the match."

Healy's competitive nature has continuously been her major advantage - and an irreplaceable characteristic in succeeding legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, out to the emerging pace bowler in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's spark.

A single was taken off the opening delivery and after that the right-hander was in motion.

"The possibility to go out there and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun in that regard, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 deliveries - her quickest at the World Cup - and her ton in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

By the time she was removed the team needed 66 additional runs at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the assurance to accomplish that now," continued Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, if we do, we know we can do it."

That comment will be the last Australia's opponents at this tournament want to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this victory succeeding victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they were eliminated from last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she led her country for the first time at a major tournament.

So strong is her resolve, she afterwards commented she wanted to have participated through the pain.

However although she subsequently acknowledged those injuries have pushed back plans to retire, this championship is anticipated as her last as captain in one-day cricket and she is still to achieve an international tournament as captain.

Success in India would bring her to the top of her final mountain.
